I am an Associate Professor with the Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Parma. My research interests focus on signal processing, machine learning, and their applications to robotics, autonomous systems, intelligent transportation, cognitive modelling, and intelligent healthcare.
In 2019, I joined Aalborg University as an Assistant Professor in Robotics within the Automation and Control section of the Department of Electronic Systems. From 2014 to 2018, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Oxford Robotics Institute, University of Oxford, working with Prof. Paul Newman and Prof. Ingmar Posner. Previously, I held a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship within the INSPIRE Network (2012–2013) and collaborated with the Centre for Applied Hearing Research and the Cognitive Systems Group at the Technical University of Denmark.
I hold a BEng, MSc in Computer Engineering (AI), and a PhD from Sapienza University of Rome. I am a member of IEEE societies and the British Society of Audiology.
